The Rolex Milgauss is known for being the scientist’s watch, with anti-magnetic properties up to 1,000 gauss. It was designed for those working in power plants, laboratories and the medical field. The modern Milgauss, is one of the longest-standing watch models made by Rolex , but still remains one of the more under-appreciated models.
The Rolex 116400GV GV meaning Glasse Verte is so unique to Rolex and the Milgauss that no other watch company has managed to make a green coloured sapphire crystal. The power reserve is 48 hours and the 3131 movement can also be wound manually There is no date on the Rolex Milgauss since any cutout on the dial would interfere with the operation of the Faraday cage.
On the wrist this is one of those versatile watches you can just wear day-in and day-out. It is slim enough to tuck under a shirt cuff yet offers a bit more wrist presence than your standard Rolex watch. and casual enough to be worn at the weekend
